Thriftasaurus!
An eclectic mix of finds for me this week.
I don't shop at Goodwill much anymore now that the one near my home has closed, but once in awhile - I'm there! Goodwill finds are few & far between for me, don't understand why, though. This pertains to every Goodwill I visit, which is why I don't waste my time. I was in the area, so stopped in on 50% off kitchenware day... lo & behold, a Friendship 441 & 443 - $4 for both after discount. I haven't found Pyrex at Goodwill since winter!
A Halloween blow mold, blow molds aren't something I want to start collecting, but this is something small enough that it will look good on a shelf in my apartment come next Halloween. I have to search for a replacement bulb. I can't decorate this year, my place is too much of a mess.
A 1978 Rock Jam Hilroy Beegees binder, the image is under licensed to Hilroy.
Cards! Cards! Cards! You can never have enough.
Donkey Kong board game. Never knew this existed, cool.
I don't know about these guys, but they were created by Russ (the makers of the '90s Trolls), tagged with stickers "1993 The Funmaker Company". I cannot find any information online about them besides someone asking a question about them regarding an eBay auction on a toy collecting forum a few years ago. They look Tank Girl inspired, which attracted me to them.
Anybody perhaps know anything about them?

Next week I won't have time to thrift! Busy bee.

I found that same blow mold a couple of weeks ago, it's a great size for indoors! You were lucky to find those bowls!
ReplyDeleteGood find on the pyrex. My find was 11 canvas bank coin sacks, vintage. Happy dance. Thanks for keeping on hosting, love joining in.

Donkey Kong the board game? Sounds chaotically fun!
ReplyDeleteoh wow, I love that halloween blowmold! I've never found any vintage halloween here in Australia :-(
ReplyDeleteIt's a hard find here in Canada too. Besides this mold (which I assume isn't all that old) I have just seen a few things in antique markets. Although saw quite a lot in July in the USA.
Deletein their antique markets
DeleteLovely Friendship, and even luckier to find something good at Goodwill!
ReplyDeleteI know, right? I went back, but all they had was Old Orchard and the clear.
DeleteGoodness gracious, a Bee Gees binder?
ReplyDeleteBest find ever.
Friendship bowl *sigh* and the cards are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI found Friendship last week too! I'm so happy that you finally found some Pyrex at the thrifts. I've all but given up. Love your cards. I have a ton of them too and just keep tossing them in an old picnic basket that I display upstairs. Not sure what to do with them yet besides obviously hoard them. You are also pretty lucky to have found that blow mold. I found one too on Friday! I think we must be somewhat related....

Fantastic Friendship...and a great price!
ReplyDeleteI found the same blow mold a few weeks ago, though yours looks to be in much better shape than mine.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Friendship! I'm so jealous! I haven't found any in the wild in such a long time. That's my favorite pattern that I don't collect.
Have a good week!
I wish all vintage Halloween was as easy.to find as these blow molds seem to be!
DeleteLove the blow mold. Haven't found any around here.
ReplyDeleteAh love those Friendship bowls! I have yet to find any at a thrift store.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, I've just seen one of the Friendship Cinderella bowls and that same Halloween blow mold in the last couple weeks, down in South Carolina USA! The bowl was $14 and the blow mold was $16, (didn't buy either), so ya done good! I don't have anything to link up this week but will this coming Saturday. I have my own link up now on Tuesdays, love to have you there. Take care - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com
