eBay Buy: Tank Girl Official Movie Shirt

Ooooh, might not be much appreciation, but Tank Girl is one of my favourite movies. Lori Petty was one of my favourite actresses growing up. She was in one of my all time favourite sitcoms - Lush Life. I think only 4 episodes aired it did so bad. Also enjoyed her in Relax... It`s Just Sex.

Anyways,
TANK GIRL.
not Lori.
Greatest detail or something on set & stuff.. outfits.

I bought a bootlegged shirt from a shop on Queen West that since closed down for like $22 bucks a few years ago & bought another one - bootlegged - that I still have that`s too small from a thrift store. This one looks like it`s in fantastic condish & it`s offish, so rock on. I recently sold a X-Files shirt for $70, so I could afford this $40 shirt just fine.

Sir Thrift-A-Lot: Flea Market Finds

As always, some fun finds & linking up with Flea Market Finds with Her Library Adventures.

My absolute favourite find this week is this The White Spider Rabbit - The White Rabbit - drinking glass, priced at 99cents from Goodwill! I looked, but can't find any information on the glass. Alice In Wonderland drinking glass set? I've never seen any glasses like it before. Anybody got anything?

We brought my up cat, Miss Hands (named after the infamous Mr. Hands), to Pickering to finish up her spaying, she got her stitches snipped & she's all done - yay! & I went to the Value Village up in Ajax, which has never produced anything too interesting, but picked up this Pyrex jar, which smells so strongly of paprika that when I opened it in the car the scent instantly filled up the whole car & my boyfriend yelled at me to close it.
(vintage 1975 Pyrex, Corning birds jar)

OMG - it looks so filthy because i had it soaking with dish soap & water.
It's actually extremely clean! Just want that overbearing stench of paprika gone!
Some 7UP Uncola glasses - I see these often, but these were in absolute MINT condition, so too good to pass up.

Another Anchor dominos bowl. They had another one in the shop, but I DON'T BUY CHIPPED THINGS.. anymore.

A KISS record for 99cents & some more Treasure Troll wrapping paper!

I just wanted to post these, an eBay buy - silicone cupcake cups! Love the colours & they were about 6 bucks. Absolutely perfect for pizza cupcakes!

♥ Valentines Day Finds ♥

♥ Valentines Day Finds

This year I got a Valentines Day surprise - picked up in work in a rented car for an evening of thrifting! Could you ask for a better Valentines Day gift? The trip yielded a few finds, but not as much as I had anticipated once I sat my ass down in that car. I'm still digging them though. I think my favourite has got to be the DOWN WITH NOSTALGIA tea towel. Brand new. The lady at the counter told me it was my lucky day. I told her it was true. A couple more fun tea towels, a couple pieces of Pyrex & a set of cute made in Japan owl salt & pepper shakers later we were back in Toronto & having dinner at Jack Astor's. The dinner started off on the right foot - found a blonde hair, 10cm in length in my cup of Pepsi... that I had already drank 3/4 of. Returned it, obv. But yeah, nothing special about the Yonge & Bloor Jack Astor's, I'm sticking to the Dundas Square or Front Street locations.

If you are interested in the Ulster Ladybirds (or the lady bug) tea towel, I have it for sale on eBay. You can view it RIGHT HERE!

Thrift on...
Hope you had a good Valentines Day too!

Sir Thrift-A-Lot: Thrift Share Monday!

Sir Thrift A Lot in Thrift Share Monday!

Above little vintage owl is a lone salt & pepper shaker, made in Japan. I searched the shelves of Goodwill - high & low for his pair, but turned up nothing. Still bought him because he'll look killer on display & couldn't go wrong for 99cents!

My thrifting has been at a minimum lately, but it's about to pick up. Enjoy this cool retro pick from August - a golf bag & golf clubs 8 set of vintage/retro/whatevs swizzle sticks!

Also enjoy this retro eBay buy! Pac-Man wallpaper! I'm doing my bathroom in full out Pac-Man - stay tuned for updates! You're gonna love it! Sold some items I had around the house to buy it on eBay to afford it. I'm sooo excited for this project! It's going to take some time & some skill, but when it's done I'm just know I'm going to feel great about it!

Thrifted Goodness.

Even more thrifted goodness...

Lovely Pyrex.
Both from Goodwill.
The #443 Butterprint (drool...) bowl ($5.05)
& the #443 Horizon Blue bowl ($3.03)

Butterprint is such an amazing story. My boyfriend took a trip with his mother to Ohio to visit his grandfather last week & he sends me a photo of a pink Butterprint casserole - such a tease! It's grandpa's & he won't part with it for anything. I'm told he's got Pyrex all over the house. I asked for no more pictures. I made him visit the only thrift store in town to check out the Pyrex & salt & pepper shakers - the store was a dud. I'm told the town is pretty much a dud.

& this is a Windsor buy I almost forgot about from Bibles for Missions! A whole $1! Is this Old Orchard? I'm not sure. #471. Very, very good condition! Would have been great if they had the whole set.

Check out this retro polyester fabric from Talize! I'm making myself a pair of pants right after I post this (not really). $1.99. Wouldn't have spotted it without the eyes of my bestie.

Now these are internet buys, too good to pass up.

Who knew Delta Impex Watch Corporation made a Married With Children Watch back in 1987? I've still got my eyes on a calculator watch, fingers, eyes & toes crossed to find one at the thrift shop!

Some retro E.T. puffy stickers. 4 packs. Same price I usually pay when I shop at Funky Junky, $3 a pack, so it wasn't too bad. My cousin is going to get a fantastic addition to her wedding present this year!

Until next time..

Mushrooms, Turtles, New Kids, Clowns & An Ashtray

Another Monday. I'm going to feel horrible this week. I am already exhausted. Thrifting in the next couple weeks will be at a minimum, I am moving July 1st & Toronto Pride 2011 begins shortly & ends the same weekend with some excellent, crazy celebrations. 10 days & I still have to pack up 90% of our house, not good.

Anyways, here are so great finds!

Some funky mushroom drinking glasses from Salvation Army, 99cents a piece. One glass is a little more "dishwashed" than the other, but it still has kept it's funk factor.

Some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie bumper stickers. 10 to be exact. They are from 1990, Mirage Studios, done by Button Up, Troy, MI - same as some buttons I've bought before. I paid $3 for the lot, bought off line. eBay.

A 99cents ashtray, a nice addition to my hand collection. Value Village.

& I caved. I didn't buy them all, but I did buy at least some of the New Kids On The Block comics. You can also see a selection of my DVDs if you look closely. Value Village.

Clown mirror. Surprisingly, boyfriend approved! Value Village. One of the clowns looks eerily like John Wayne Gacy.
