Rednesday
For the first time ever, I am taking part in Rednesday with Sue Loves Cherries.
Today I am featuring 3 beautiful items, a red & white checkered Fire King mug (which someone has on eBay right now for $35.. but is it really worth that much..?), a 1980's Strawberry Shortcake tin, a lot of pink, but Strawberry Shortcake herself is pure red. The third item is bought with love by my fiance from the dollar store. It's a Strawberry Shortcake lollipop. He bought it for me the day after I bought the tin at Value Village for $2.99. I recently saw them there & there are a few there where she looks like a serial killer. The tin is from American Greeting Corp, 1982. It recently sold on shopgoodwill.com for $20.50.
treat yourself to the "berry" best!

Haaa! You have the tin that I NEED! I have the small version, but that taller one never comes up on Ebay! Lucky You! I'm going to post my SSC collection pretty soon. I stopped collecting last year though because I was getting out of control! That was cute that your "sweetie" got you the lollipop!

Awwwe. I'm kinda sorry..? LOL. I can't wait to see your Strawberry Shortcake collection! I sold some stationery of her's on eBay not to long ago, making almost $45 profit after fees. I found another set not to long ago... can't wait to list that one!
DeleteI have come across old Strawberry Shortcake stuff a lot in my thrifting travels. It is pretty plentiful here so I usually pick it up if it is reasonably priced. I recently sold a new in package set of birthday napkins from 1982 for $28.00! Hold on to your stuff because evidently it is worth something. Love your finds and love your blog. Have been a follower for quite some time.

Awwe. Thanks! Love yours too.
DeleteAnd that's a lot! When I found some SS stuff, I was shocked at how much her stuff sold for when researching.
I love the fire king mug, probably because I had one years ago! Good find!
ReplyDeleteSweet tin! That little Strawberry Shortcake chick sure has some fans! I found some glass canisters at the thrift shop last week and I'm hoping I can find someone locally to love them! I'm enjoying reading your blog!
