I LOVE THOSE OWL SHAKERS! So great! Anthropologie made a similar remake cookie jar: http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/home-kitchen-gadgets/19708031.jsp
ReplyDeleteBut c'mon - $68!? Insane! (They have another owl jar for $128! Eeek!)
I love love the teal ones at the bottom, too. Great picks!
I came across your blue birds at a communtiy garage sale. They wanted like $10 which I though as too much. There are must have been some kind of matching container because they had a lid but it was all chipped
ReplyDeleteThe little mod TV one is so damn cute! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have a "salt" shaker in the bottom picture i'll sendit to ya!
ReplyDeleteThese are all very awesome additions to anyones collection. I've seen the canister-style s & p shakers before at antique shops, but never for the right price. If you come across any of these, let us know! :)

The auction for the turquoise shakers has ended but she wanted $10 for them! I probably would've bought them anyway because I have a set of Coffee/Tea, etc. canisters like those and a recipe card box. They really are kind of nasty, though, and they might not be totally cleanable, being plastic. When I sold S&P's at our local flea market I'd be lucky if I got $2 and I'm not talking about damaged or modern ones. And then I see people asking ridiculous amounts of money on eBay!
ReplyDeleteI think the RCA dog salt & pepper shakers are gorgeous! As far as the prices go - I also think they are a bit ridiculous but the fact is that they are selling, so someone is obviously prepared to pay.

Funny, I found one of the aqua "pepper" shakers at the Goodwill Outlet in Nashville. Sadly, it's crusty and stained and, even after mucho soaking, I can't seem to get it clean. I love them too!
