Mock Giveaway!

United States $1 Bill Giveaway!

AKA "MOCK GIVEAWAY"

This is my celebration of how ridiculous blog giveaways have become. Yes, there are definitely some amazing, interesting giveaways out there, but c'mon, coupons for BOGOF (Buy One, Get One Free) yogurt? It's laughable. This thread is about thrifting, also about being thrifty, so this is giving you a chance to stretch that dollar!

Now is your chance to bank it in. I am giving away 3 - yes, you heard right - 3! United States $1 Bills!

Open to residents of the USA & Canada.
Contest ends May 9th at 11:59:59PM.
Winner will be chosen by random.org & emailed.

  1. A genuine $1 bill huh? What would I do with it you say. Well,I would go to Vegas head to the roulette wheel and bet it all on black. I would let ride until I had won 1 million dollars(enter Dr. Evil pinky by corner of mouth). Then I would spend the rest of my time in my high roller suite sitting by the pool sipping on drinks that require little pink umbrellas which are served by a hunky poolboy named Geraldo. And if that didn't work out, I would probably go and buy a chicken sandwich on the dollar menu. :)

By the way, I am already a follower:

    This has been fun!

  3. Oh, man, giveaways like that annoy me so much! Yours however. Genious!

I would spend my dollar on these 3 plastic 1970's butterfly wall hangings that I have stashed in a junk pile at the Thrift store around the corner. *crossing fingers, please don't let someone find them!*

I have been a follower for sometime now (love your thrift finds!),

aaaand I commented on your "Life is an Ashtray" post.

    Whew!!

  4. I would take it to the thrift store and buy a couple of books or a t-shirt. I could take it to the one that sells by the pound and get several shirts, 4 paper back books, or a bag of light-weight housewares.

  7. I love this post! But what would I spend a whole dollar on? Hmmm. I might be able to get a penny candy for a $1. Occasionally they have a pack of gum on sale for $1 and I know I saw Vitamin water for $.88 so I could even get change back for the dollar.

  12. I've been in the market for one of the market for one of these for quite some time, but with the economy the way it is, the only place I can find them is in freshly plundered bank vaults. Even then, I can't figure what they're going to be worth with all the oncoming inflation, so I don't know.

    I guess I could by a dream :)
