I haven't done a WTF? WEDNESDAY in quite some time. Here is one. He was in Goodwill. I don't know why someone would take the time to knit that & I can't even find someone to knit me a pair of brown pants. On one hand though.. this probably didn't take much yarn, with my booty, I'd probably take up 6 full sheep.

★ To Your Health ★
★ TO YOUR HEALTH★
Here we have some positive shot glasses. Shot glasses that according to one auction on Etsy.com, they are from the 1920's, 1930's, but I see it more being late 1950's, early 1960's. What about you? They cost me 49cents each, so since it was at Value Village, I was charged that dreadful HST, $1.11 for both. The first picture (above) is of my two shot glasses. They only had 2 at the shop, did not know at the time that it was part of a set. The second picture is borrowed from the Etsy.com listing. What do you think? It might be hard to make out the glasses, but they have a woman's hand, with some nice (fake?) painted nails. The saying on the glass is ★ TO YOUR HEALTH ★.
[well, actually, i can't find the photo right now. i will insert when i do. right here. i am going to sleep.]

Broken dreams..
I feel like crap. I am extremely upset after breaking one of the bowls I purchased today. I got so stoked about the bowls, they were cheap, pristine condition & they end up with one broken & one chipped. Why does this constantly happen to me with things that I get stoked about? It's really upsetting. I don't even feel like blogging about the price or anything else. I want to go to bed & never get up again.
I tripped over it. They were on the floor still wrapped up in the bed.. not tripped, but stepped right on it. I'm lucky I didn't break something, my leg still feels a bit off & I bent my toe a way it isn't meant to go. The set, which is no more, cost me $1.99 for the 2 small bowls & 2.99 for the large bowl. I also bought 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson on vinyl & Madonna vinyl as well. These were from Goodwill, same with the bowls, & the vinyl was $1 each.

Kid tested, mother approved.
today is t-shirt tuesday. i am without a model, so Google with have to do the trick. the model is kickin' it back in Ohio of all places. bringing home that cherry coke. i can almost taste it. maybe some kix?
This shirt is by Akomplice, picked it up quite used at Value Village a little while ago; never blogged about it though. I think it was $2.99. The wear on the shirt made me think it was older than it is, had thought maybe it was early '90s when skater stuff was neater..
kid tested, mother approved.
If you don't remember, Kix is a cereal. Quite a neat shirt, if you ask me. Here are some Kix commercials. I hope you get a kick out of them.

p.s. i meant to have the font bigger in this post.. but sometimes i can't get blogger to do what i want. it makes me feel so jennifer aniston. so deal with it. just don't "kick" me when i'm down.
Goodwill is tax free! TOTAL TRIP: $3.96.
Nothing but CD's today, walked up to my favourite Goodwill stopping at 'Green Fusion' (AKA Ginger 2) on the way. The shelves were absolutely baron. I've never seen the place like this. It seems like they were doing a deep clean. They had bins of damaged merchandise, garbage & I suppose things that are not selling. Shelves that are usually piled with crap were empty & being wiped down by employees. I finish looking at the CD's, since they had a amassed a huge amount from the last time I was there. After picking up a few choices, one of the guys rolls a bin up & starts throwing them in, really, really hard. All I could think is, "these definitely aren't going to Goodwill by the pound." He was throwing away discs that weren't there last week. Anyways, I picked up 4 - cost me $3.96! Seems they lowered their prices to 99cents a disc!
What I got:
Luscious Jackson - Naked Eye (single)
Smashing Pumpkins - Adore (for my friend)
Green Jelly - 333
Green Jelly - Cereal Killer
Remember Green Jelly? They had one cool hit in the early '90s with an animated video... "Three Little Pigs". I'll post it below.

Found Photo // Missing You Like Crazy!
Below you have a found photo, do not remember when & where it was found. I am thinking Goodwill, though.
Now below, here is my puppy. He's gone to the wife's mothers home for the month. We had brought him up for my birthday trip to Niagara Falls & he has yet to come home! I still look for him, I dream about him & I missing squeezing him. He's a big boy, ringing in at 110lbs.

NES!
Nothing special recently, been spending a lot of time working & relaxing in the hot tub. Found some Nintendo (NES) games that I never had or played before. I like NES. Not because it's a hipster thing, as I am not a hipster like my friend over at Hearsay Rules, but I like it because I do not understand them 3-D games. I Sega too. The wife is into all the systems.. we've got a bunch. NES, Super Nintendo, PS2, Xbox360, Wii. Granted I've had the NES ever since I was a child & I won the Xbox 360 & got the Wii to "shut the bitch up", but he never plays it. I thought he would play it all the time. Anyways, if you ever want to come over & play NES, I would enjoy your company. I've got grapes to wash & laundry to fold. I paid $2.99 a game. If you've got bad eyesight, the games are Jeopardy, R.C. Pro-Am (1987) & Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1989). On topic, I changed my font to a larger one to make my blog more reader friendly. Do you like it?

A Little Birdie Told Me It Was T-Shirt Tuesday!
Today we have our lovely model, who is without a bum, modeling a beautiful early '90s EMF shirt. I do not remember where this shirt originated from within my collection, but I do enjoy it's existence, only wearing it a handful of times when my weight agreed with it. It now sits buried in the depths of our closet. It's "Unbelievable", so "Unbelievable".
If you're not familiar with EMF, you can read about them on Wikipedia here. Even if you claim that you don't know who they are, you have definitely heard their hit song. Even if you've spent all your time in the thrifts, you've probably heard the song being played by one of the people who test out the cassette & CD players extremely
LOUD
The bird you see below you came to me via Winners on Front Street, right down the street from my beautiful home. I had seen him there before, looking at me. The second time I seen him I took him home, he was only $2.00. A cheaper buy than he would have been at a thrift store!
BTW, if you still claim you don't know who EMF are, watch the video below. You'll know.

The Soap Maker: Natural Handmade Soap From Your Kitchen.
The Soapmaker: Natural Handmade Soap From Your Kitchen.
My theory is that a housewife with spare time picked up this book one day in Chapters 6-8 years ago. She had thought that since the kids had grown up, she'd have some spare time & would begin making soaps. They would make great Christmas presents, afterall, with great use & great thought. So, she picks up the book & there it sits, only to be leafed through occasionally after telling herself, "I'll start next week." Just a few months ago, her dreams of soap making came crashing down when she found out her husband was having an affair & she decided to end the marriage. She found herself packing up her belongings & then she sighed as she picked up this book. 'Years have passed & next week never did come', she thought. She had to downsize since she was moving back in with her mom, who oddly enough had become ill & needed someone to look after things around the house. 'I'll never have time to make soaps now', she sighed as she tossed the book into the Goodwill box.
So now the book sits with me. The original cover price seems to be lost, but it only cost me $2.49. It's a rarity for a book of my interest to pop up in the 'hobbies' section of any thrift. Will this book have the same fate in my hands as it did hers? I hope not.
Total trip: $2.49.
I'd love to start making soaps & candles. Any tips would be greatly appreciated (ie: book recommendations NOT by the authors...)

Betty Boop, ET, Leopard Print & A Photo Frame.
Took a small trip to a couple stores. I sneaked a couple donations in at the Goodwill & then dumped the others off at one of them boxes at the side of the road. I don't know where it goes, but I hope it doesn't go to nasty, for profit, Value Village. I'll buy from there, but I'll never donate there & I suggest you don't either.
The photo frame is from Value Village ($2.99 + tax) & all the other items are from Goodwill ($6.91, no tax). I'm trying to find out some info on the photo frame. I can't read the writing on it. Know anything? The ET glass with Drew Barrymore on it from 1982, Pizza Hut, is pretty common, but I'd like to own one. The bendable Betty Boop character is still sealed & is from 1989. She was 99cents. The box was $1.99. The glass was 99cents. I also bought 6 Mens Health Magazines. Girl tried to charge me 99cents for each magazine again & told me that the 49cents was only applicable to small magazines & that this 90 page magazine was a large magazine. I asked her why it only says Living Well, Oprah & Martha Stewarts magazines are large & for her to show me what a small magazine was. She went to the manager on her own & they set her straight.
I never had such a coveted item in Goodwill before. I put the leopard print box down twice, once to look at a huge pile of photo albums & another to scrummage through a box of tiny books. One woman went to grab the box & I stopped, the other woman asked me to pass it to her, since it was at my feet. I mentioned that it was mine, but there was a matching photo album & frame that I was no interested in in the next aisle. She told me she was only interested in the box, I said, "I hear ya sister."
Today's trip: $10.21
I don't feel like talking much, but I'm going to keep up with T-Shirt Tuesday when the wife gets home. He's my model. He should be home shortly.

Introducing...
T-SHIRT TUESDAY!
Over the last 10 years I have amassed a decent collection of t-shirts from thrift & vintage shops. I am taking Tuesdays to showcase some of these shirts for you. I do not remember many of the prices or which shops I bought them in, but that all doesn't matter. I've had this shirt, which I call "Tiger Bitch" for the last 5 years or so. I've worn it only a handful of times back when I was thin, but now I'm too fat to fit into it, even though it's labeled a large. This is a Screen Stars shirt. The lovely model is my boyfriend, AKA "The Wife", what do you think?

Well, today's thrift adventure turned up a toilet. Not just any toilet. A tiny toilet. Not one that is used. It's just a tiny bit bigger that a can of Diet Pepsi. The toilet was $2.99. I used to have a smaller one, but sadly it broke. I knocked it over in the bathroom & SMASH! it was broken. I thought I would not survive a day without it. Funny thing is everybody in Goodwill was watching me carry the thing around. Never had so many eyes on me in a thrift, everyone's always too busy scavenging.
I also picked up a few records & CDS. As I have previously mentioned I've been looking for a copy of The Smashing Pumpkins CD "Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness" for about a month for a friend of mine. Finally found it at the same Goodwill I got mine. Being a double disc, the sucker only cost me $2! Also picked up a Primus CD titled "Pork Soda" for a buck! Primus sucks! Each record was a buck. I got 'Clouds' by Joni Mitchell. What inspired me to get it was the cover Hole did on Pretty On The Inside. Picked up 'Eat to the Beat' by Blondie. I almost picked up another Blondie, but I couldn't remember if I had it at home. I do, so thank got I didn't spend that buck! Also got two soundtracks, Grease, which is a double, so it cost $2 & E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial.
I hate donating to greedy Value Village & the Goodwill I frequent doesn't take donations at store level, everything is shipped in from God knows where. I recently bought the coolest hoodie I've ever seen. Maybe if you're good, I'll post a pic! Anyways, I have a couple I want to donate & only wish to donate my items to Goodwill from now on. Today I brought in a few donations in my hands & just left them on the shelves. This may create the "if it's not priced it can't be sold" dilemma for a couple buyers, but this Goodwill prices at the counter if it's not priced.
Today's trip: $10.99.

Christmas Pixies.
Over at Oodles And Oodles the blogger bought some Christmas pixies & I just just wanted to show off mine. I bought them at Goodwill & they were still sealed in their original box. I haven't taken them out. I can't remember how much they cost, either.
I do have some sad news. I was at Value Village earlier today, I also saw this earlier this week, but they have one of my favourite items I have ever come across thrifting - the heart chair. Everything except for the back of the chair is there, but I know heart chairs & this was one of them. I checked everywhere for that backing, but alas, it wasn't there. A part of me wants to buy the rest of the chair & fix it up.. but I know that will never happen.

Pee Wee!
I was lucky enough to be sent a Pee Wee Herman doll from an online friend. rgdahl, thank you. Now, here are some pics of Pee Wee. He doesn't talk much, but when he does he speaks extremely fast, so you have got to pay close attention. He spent about a month in a box in between Texas & Toronto & even survived the G-20 in said box. Here he is in all his glory.
