Sir Thrift-A-Lot in Rednesday

Sir Thrift-A-Lot
in Rednesday
with It's A Very Cherry World!

Even more RED has turned up in the second hand venues.

$2.50 per kneehugger, couldn't say no! You like? each one complete with it's sticker on it's butt: MADE IN HONG KONG.

I haven't bought a Federal bowl in awhile. It's the polka dot RED Federal bowl that got me started on Pyrex, Federal, bowls & kitchenware. It's when my boyfriends nightmare began. Whenever I saw this bowl online I always thought that it was bold for them to use their logo on the design of their bowl. I wanted it. I've got it. 99cents.

I picked up my first die-cut vintage Valentine! I whipped it out of the suitcase at the flea market in Buffalo, it was the only one left in the suitcase.. handed it to my boyfriend & he screamed, "EW! Is that a booger on there?" & honestly, I couldn't confirm that it wasn't. I scrapped it off with a bottle cap & it came home with me anyways - booger or not. Some vintage Christmas cards & a vintage Valentines day card.

Got in some thrifting today, picked up a few (four) things. Have a bit more thrifting to come this week. Thrift on!

  3. Love the Federal Glass bowl and now I am pretty sure that I need one too! Great, more bowls. Love the knee huggers. The stupid thrifts around here only put out their Christmas stuff at Christmas. What the hell?

    1. Goodwill is all year around here. Value Village always has a Christmas section going, but more comes at Christmas time.

& we always need more bowls. They're nesting, so you'll need the whole set!

  4. Love the knee huggers! Always room for more! That red bowl rocks! But, I hate to disappoint you - it's not a Federal bowl, it's Frigidaire!

    2. Wasn't aware that Frigidaire made nesting bowl sets.

These have the Federal crown as well as the Federal logo (shield with the F) on the bottom of the bowl. The shape of the bowl is also your standard Federal bowl.

I can't find anything saying this is a Frigidaire bowl. Are you sure?

  5. Oh the disgusting things we will touch in order to get our junk! I seem to remember there being puke on something that I just had to have at the flea market one time. Love those kneehuggers!
