Canadian $1 Bills

I'm taking today to showcase another collection of mine - $1 Canadian Bills. I was around while this were still passing through the hands of us Canadians & I remember them fondly. I shall showcase a series of the $2 bills sometime in the near future. Some of my bills in my collection (and the silver coins) were given to my by my late grandfather, so this post is dedicated to him.

Here are 3 series of the bills:

1954:

1967 - Centennial Bill:

1973:

Oh, exciting news from the desk of Sir Thrift-A-Lot - I bought some early '90s YM magazines, 4 for $2 at Goodwill. They're gonna make for some fun collaging, scrapbooking & scanning!

  1. I'm old enough too to remember using these! I'm sure there are some $1 and $2 stashed away around here somewhere. Hubby is a hoarder :)

  2. I loved using them. From time to time we have them come through my work, always buy them from the register. I'm never there to see who brings them in to spend them though, would like to see.

    Have a good day!
