Thriftasaurus

Happy Easter! Slow week at the stores, plus took 5 days off from hitting up any stores at all this week, so just a few finds.

I've already got one of these vintage Enesco napkin holders, but I collect the set & from what I can recall my other one has a small chip. I passed up a set of 4 of these 1989 DC Comics Batman glasses at an antique market in London in the summer, regretfully, but am happy to have this one from Value Village.

A few grab bag finds:

The Amazing Spiderman large badge from Marvel Entertainment Group, INC. I believe late '80's. Made in Mississauga. Also made in Canada, all these cards. Not sure about the vintage Valentines Day cards, but the birthday card is by Rustcraft. I get a kick out of the Knock Knock stuff, but it's just too expensive at the retail shops unless you're lucky enough to score it in the discount bin. I come across a lot of unused Knock Knock (& Fred) products... found these & thought these post-its would be fab to bring to work.

I found this wallpaper at Goodwill, thought maybe, one day, I could do something will it...too cool to pass up.

1994 Sonic The Hedgehog flat sheet by Sega. Seems like it's a bit rare, couldn't find one that ended or is listed on eBay. Didn't search too long in Google, but didn't see one there either. Love adding something uncommon to my collection.

Linkup below with you're thrift finds if you're not too busy eating & hunting for eggs! Happy Easter!

  1. Sir Thrift! I have the Enesco owl teapot, sugar and creamer set and salt-n-pepper shakers! I didn't realize there were napkin holders as well---and now I'm thinking there might be mugs or teacups that go with it?
Happy Easter and happy hunting :)

    1. I know! I keep discovering new Enesco items to this set... like today, never knew there was a teapot! I love the shakers. I think I have the shakers, spoon rest, napkin holder, sugar & creamer set. I've never found more than one thing together (besides the shakers). & I there is a toothpick holder... I want to say I have that, but I can't remember. Just Googled the teapot - totally jealous. Love it!

      & there totally are mugs!!

    1. Awe, thanks! & these ones aren't too old. I've been looking high & low for the nice, vintage die cut ones. I've only found 1 & it had a booger or something one it. Came home with my anyways.

  8. Aaah, the wallpaper, the sonic, and the batman, want it all! How the hell do you find this stuff, there is rarely good pop culture around these parts, and if there is, and it's sometimes too expensive to purchase.

    1. Maybe it's a Canadian thing! Mid Mod Mom says she doesn't see it either. Just glad that it's plentiful around here.
