The very last time we went, we went with the skipping team, and we sat in the very last row at one of the ends of the pirate ship. I was with this one kid my sister Rachel’s age and his little brother, and one of the older girls. Well, when that thing got going, poor Jordan (the little kid) kept like lifting from the seat & almost flying out. The older girl and myself were using all our strength to hold him down — it was terrifying!
Boblo was the best. The Corkscrew there was the 1ˢᵗ upside-down roller-coaster I ever went on. Nightmare was great cause it was absolutely pitch-black in there! Myself & another girl once went on the Tilt-a-whirl 15 times in a row and would’ve kept going if she didn’t have to go to the bathroom. I learned to count to 100 one day on the way home from Amherstburg after a trip to Boblo when I was real real little and I still remember that. I also still have one of those Boblo sailor hats and can sing the theme song from those tv commercials in the park’s later years. I’ve always said: “If I ever become Prime Minister… one of the 1ˢᵗ things I will do is demolish all the rich-people homes on Boblo Island and reassemble the amusment park”. :)Jenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13925229699304082955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2449975414035403709.post-55667613515040729402012-08-18T09:20:50.069-07:002012-08-18T09:20:50.069-07:00Thank you for sharing at Cap Creations. I found the entire set of cinderellas one day at VV, of course I HAD to buy it, which I surely did not need, cinderellas take up way too much room. And, I already had the regular set that belonged to my Mom, I hope I'm not tempted by any more!!

The shakers look like flying saucers to me but who knows.....Jillhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06272811081912620854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2449975414035403709.post-72272351147524531692012-08-10T23:41:25.771-07:002012-08-10T23:41:25.771-07:00HaHa! I just broke down and bought a 401 Old Orchard because the pics on Pinterest DO look a little better with a little brownish mixed in. But I still can't believe that I own that ugly bowl!
I think the S&P's are flying saucers! Or boobs in a white shirt with buttons. JK! ;)
Love all of your finds!
