Ohio Haul!

Ohio Haul

It's all still packed up! I'm still digging out from the bags of food and other crap we brought home. The selection of food products in the USA is just amazing. I cannot believe the selection of boxed/powder/pouch mashed potatos. We have like what? 15 selections not including store brand. In the USA there is a 6 foot tall shelf 8 foot long just full of the stuff. Just crazy! I saw my first eagle.. chilling at the side of the road. My step dads parents had a  cottage on Lake Erie that we used to visit often, was 20 mins from my home and an eagle lived in a tree that was in the middle of a corn field. Never did get to see it. Lots of dead deer on the highway, too. Even saw one with it's head sliced off. I assume someone wanted to mount it. Still creepy that someone sat there and sawed off a dead deers head at the side of the road. Anyways...

There's some Pyrex, vintage Christmas, some Iitems checked off my want list and so much more!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Let's hope it flies by so the thrifts start putting out the Christmas stuff!

Thrift.on!

Here's a bunch of food we bought that we don't have in Canada. I never leave the USA withoit strawberry Dailys. Will be drinking these on Halloween.night!

  1. We did the same thing last month in Oregon, I bought Jiffy corn muffin mix, Jalapeno ketchup, and some campbells soup flavors we can't get. It burns me that the same companies sell different products in Canada than the USA!

  2. I can't wait to see what you bought! It was interesting to see what Food items you brought back too. I've never had Daily's! Guess I'll have to go get some. At least you guys have Tim Horton's up there! There are only a few here in the states. I'd be there every day if we had one here. A Drive Thru that has donuts and Iced Capps??? Heaven!

    1. You need a Dailys!
Oh gosh, you would definitely be in Heaven. On the corner by my house there is a Tim Hortons on top of a Tim Hortons - LOL.

  3. I always bring back oyster crackers and Betty Crocker German chocolate cake mix and the tub of icing to go with it, why don't we have that here?? This time I discovered a four pack of individual wines, they were the cutest thing. I remember my uncle taking stuff back to the US - Red Rose Tea and Crosby's Molasses, I guess it works both ways, but they really do have such a wide assortment of products, it's not fair!

    1. Jill! I almost bought those. I thought the price was $6 cheaper, but someone put them in the wrong spot. The cashier gave me such sass when I said, oh they are $11.99? No thanks, it's okay. I hear they don't have Coffee Crisp..?

  4. You would have THE BEST time hanging out with Sister & I. Those Dailey's pouches are right up our alley! It's just about time to break out the champagne & pomegranate juice and do a little holiday crafting. Aaaaaaaaagh.....why can't we live closer to one another?

Can't wait to see the haul. Hurry up!!

  5. I've never had one of those Dailey's pouches, might have to try one. You guys don't have PayDays up there?! That's my go to candy bar when I'm having a wicked candy craving.
I agree with Erica, it's almost time to break out the bubbly! Imagine the fun we could all have if we got together...
I'm excited to see your haul!

    1. Nope - no Paydays! Some of the gourmet candy shops bring them in, but they charge about $2 a pop for them. No thanks... only if I'm desperate.

    2. I think we'd all get arrested after getting drunk & robbing an antique market.

  7. Wish I could visit Canada and bring back some goodies we don't have here. Maple Syrup...mmmmm....well we have it here in Florida but it's crazy expensive. :) Hope you guys had a Happy Halloween!

  8. Funny, I was in Vancouver tho summer and I came home with a bunch of stuff you all have that we don't. You should come to Arizona where I live…the sheer amount of "Hispanic" food in the market will amaze you, we have at least one full aisle in each store, since we are so close to the border.
